Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 12 February 2026 (updated 27 May 2026)
1. Overview
Welcome to The Shared Lunchbox.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
These terms apply to all group orders, products and services offered through our website.
2. How Our Group Orders Work
We offer group catering-style lunch boxes designed for workplaces, events and community groups.
- Orders are placed by one person (the organiser) on behalf of a group
- Pricing is per person
- Most orders require a minimum of 10 people.
After booking:
- Where applicable, we may provide a selection link so guests can choose their own meal preferences.
- If selections are not completed, we will finalise the order on your behalf
3. Orders and Payment
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- All details provided are accurate
- You are authorised to place the order
- You understand this is a group order (not individual purchases)
The organiser is responsible for:
- Providing correct event and delivery details
- Sharing any selection links with their group
- Ensuring selections are completed on time
We reserve the right to:
- Adjust or cancel orders if minimum requirements are not met
- Finalise selections where required information is missing
The organiser is responsible for payment. Payment is required at least 3 days prior to delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Pricing
- All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST
- Pricing is per person and calculated based on total quantity selected
- Prices may change at any time prior to order confirmation
- Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
5. Changes & Cancellations
Because our food is fresh and made to order:
- Final guest numbers, dietary requirements and meal selections must be confirmed at least 3 days prior to your event.
- Changes requested after this time may not be possible
Cancellation requests received more than 7 days prior to the event may be eligible for a refund, less any costs already incurred.
Cancellation requests received within 7 days of the event will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account food purchases, preparation and other costs already committed.
We do not offer refunds for:
- Change of mind
- Late cancellations
- Unused portions
6. Delivery
Delivery is available across Melbourne’s Inner West, with other areas available by quotation.
- Delivery is based on the details provided at checkout
- Customers must ensure delivery information is accurate and accessible
We are not responsible for delays caused by:
- Incorrect delivery details
- Lack of access to the delivery location
- Events outside our control
Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather or operational factors.
Customers are responsible for ensuring appropriate food storage following delivery.
Once delivered, responsibility transfers to the customer.
7. Product Information
We aim to keep everything as accurate as possible, however:
- Images are representative of our products. Ingredients, seasonal produce and presentation may vary.
- Items may change based on seasonal availability
8. Allergens & Dietary Requirements
We do our best to accommodate dietary needs where possible.
However:
- Our kitchen handles common allergens
- We cannot guarantee allergen-free products
While we take reasonable care to minimise cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens.
Customers are responsible for ensuring suitability for their needs.
While we do our best to accommodate dietary requests, substitutions may occasionally occur based on availability.
9. Refunds & Consumer Guarantees
We comply with the Australian Consumer Law.
Perishable food should be refrigerated as soon as possible after delivery.
You may be entitled to a refund, replacement or credit if products:
- Are faulty or unsafe
- Are not of acceptable quality
- Do not match their description
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not provide refunds for change of mind.
10. Competitions & Promotions
From time to time, we may run promotions or giveaways.
- Winners can still redeem prizes under our current service model
- Additional terms may apply to specific promotions
Additional competition-specific terms may apply and will be published where relevant.
